Davis Langdon has published the twelfth edition of its Blue Book, a comprehensive document covering a wide range of topics related to the property and construction industry including the very important issue of sustainability in new and refurbished buildings.
We found in it an interesting comparative table showing the cost of building multi storey car parks in various parts of the world (amounts are $US/m2):
Whilst the chart above shows where Sydney car park construction costs sit in comparison with those of other cities, the graph below includes construction costs for high rise office buildings and shopping centres. It is interesting to note that costs for these kinds of buildings in Sydney are relatively higher compared to other cities than car park construction costs.
