Paul Barter, a Singapore-based academic researching urban transport policy, runs a blog and resource that PCI follows regularly, called ‘Reinventing Urban Transport’.
He specialises in the urban cities of South East Asia in particular; and recently published a presentation summarising the results of an Asian Cities Parking Study, and key governing policies in these cities.
Paul has kindly given PCI permission to republish a link to his presentation, ‘Parking Policy in Asian Cities – Highlights’, to the PCI Blog. The presentation has some interesting theoretical frameworks and survey data from Asia, particularly around building parking requirements by country. We would encourage those who are interested to click through and read the presentation in full on the ‘Reinventing Urban Transport’ blog here.
