We are delighted to announce that our managing director, Andrew Morse, has been appointed to the Parking Australia Board.
With a longstanding involvement in the parking industry, it is an honour to be closer to Parking Australia again. This time, Andrew’s goal is to bring his traffic engineering perspective to promote a balanced view within the association.
“I see parking as part of the broader transport environment and one of many solutions to facilitate the movement of people. In that sense, I bring balance to the conversation of how parking should be developed, maintained and integrated into our future cities. This is not philosophy of less parking, but of smart parking that suits the demands of users (the car will remain a fundamental transport mode) and the needs of owners / operators in shifting environments and challenges”, said Andrew.
Parking is undeniably an important piece of urban mobility and Andrew intends to focus on that:
“My goal in representing Parking Australia is to broaden the reach of the association and the parking industry so that we are part of the planning, investment and city growth conversations happening throughout the country. In short, this means an outward view and engagement / reach beyond the membership pool to promote the positives of the parking industry and how it facilitates economic activity”.
With a broad offering including wayfinding, traffic and civil engineering, we have evolved from our parking origins to create a complete service package to our clients. As parking is part of our DNA, we look forward to consolidating our relationship with the industry in the next few years.
