Bondi Beach parking spot sale expected to set another record

Car park costs reach new levels across Australia’ blog post in March 2010 in which we noted that a single car space in North Bondi sold for $240,000, this weekend sees two more single space car parks go up for auction in Bondi.

There are two spaces available, situated at the southern end of Bondi Beach and opposite Bondi Icebergs, with one of them expected to eclipse the record when the go under the hammer this week.
The first space comes with a 48-year lease, and is expected to sell for around $180,000. The vendor hopes the second space, with a 78-year lease, will fetch in excess of $250,000.

Parking spaces in Sydney’s CBD range from $60,000 to $70,000 south of Town Hall and could reach $140,000 in the financial district towards Circular Quay. However, Bondi rates are higher due to a significant shortage of parking as most one-bedroom apartments do not have parking.

Keep an eye on the PCI blog to find out how much these properties sell for later this week!
